Happy 100 Years to Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity!

Happy Centennial Anniversary to Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity! The organization celebrates its 100th Founders' Day today.

Sigma Tau Gamma is a national college fraternity founded in 1920 by veterans of the First World War who aim to Build Noble Generations of Men. The fraternity was founded on June 28, 1920, at what is now known as the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Commonly known as Sig Tau, the brotherhood was founded by 17 men, some of which were members of the Irving Literary Society. The fraternity initially created chapters on the campuses surrounding teachers' colleges (at the time also called "normal schools"). Today, the association, which is a member of the North American Interfraternity Conference, has 66 active chapters and 15 associate chapters.

The fraternity's national philanthropy is the Special Olympics, it's official flower is the White Rose, and its colors are blue and white. Sig Tau is guided by six principles: learning, integrity, excellence, leadership, citizenship, and brotherhood.

Happy 100 Years to all members of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity!
