Iota Phi Theta Fraternity at Kean University Raising Money to House Homeless Family

The Beta Xi Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity at Kean University is raising money to house a homeless family in East Orange, New Jersey. The fraternity chapter was featured recently on WABC-TV News in New York and is raising funds through a GoFundMe site.

The Iota Phi Theta chapter, working in conjunction with the Sierra House Homeless Shelter, raised $1,000 to buy the plot of land where the house will be built for a single mother raising two children. The project is scheduled for completion this summer.

The chapter clearly illustrates one of the fraternity's main commitments to make meaningful contributions to society in general, with particular interest in the African-American community.

Help the Brothers of the Beta Xi Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity make a true difference in their community by making a donation to their efforts now.
